Your Community Wants To Help
Working together is vital to the success of any project, and it’s especially true in education. A community out there wants to share its experience to nurture its students. This document is here to help you find those communities.
Start Here
There are many wonderful places to ensure support for your students, but here are a few suggestions to start with:
- Local corporations and businesses are excellent resources to share your student stories and find help. Reach out and ask if they have a giving program. We’ve seen everything from Nike to Range Rover to Banks gifting to schools. Give it a go! The worst they can say is ‘no.’
- Donors Choose is a platform that allows corporations and people to help classrooms and teachers by funding the school’s ‘wish list.’ Add your reading pen of choice to your list!
- Adopt A Classroom is an award-winning, national nonprofit organization that provides funding for school supplies to classrooms and needy families. Donated funds are immediately available for use, unlike some other sites. You can register and share stories of supply needs for your students.
